Kanda 8 · Verse 1
अन्तकाय मृत्युवे नमः । प्राणा अपाना इह ते रमन्ताम् । इहायमस्तु पुरुषः सहसूनुः सूर्यस्य भागेऽमृतस्य लोके ॥ १ ॥
Homage to the Immortal that rules the mortal in life and death. O man, let prana and apana energies abide here joyous strong for you in the body. Let this your spirit live on with pranic vitalities in this beautiful world of the Immortal and you enjoy your share of the life and refulgence of the sun.
मृत्यु के अधिष्ठाता काल को मेरा नमन है। हे प्राण और अपान, तुम यहीं मेरे भीतर रमण करो। यह पुरुष, सूर्य के तेज और अमृत लोक में, अपने पुत्रों के साथ यहीं स्थित हो।
Kanda 8 · Verse 2
उदैनं भगो अग्रभिदुदैनं सोमो अंशुमान् । उदैनं मरुतो देवा उदइन्द्राग्नी स्वस्तये ॥ २ ॥
Bhaga, lord of immortal glory, takes care of this man. Soma, the moon, and Anshuman, the sun, take care of this man, and Maruts, winds and pranic energies, take care of him, and Indra, cosmic energy, and Agni, life's heat of vitality, take care of him for health and all round well being.
यह श्लोक सूर्य, चंद्रमा, मरुतों और इंद्र-अग्नि से कल्याण की कामना करता है। यह कहता है कि सूर्य, चंद्रमा, मरुत और इंद्र-अग्नि सभी हमारे कल्याण के लिए उदय हों।
Kanda 8 · Verse 3
इह तेऽऽसुर्वरिहं प्राण इहायुर्वरिहं ते मनः । उत्त्वा निर्ऋत्याः पाशभ्यो दैव्यां वाच भरामसि ॥ ३ ॥
May life and breath come to you here, may your mind come here. We lift you from the snares of death to the divine word.
यहाँ संस्कृत श्लोक का सरल और स्पष्ट हिंदी अनुवाद दिया गया है: हे ईश्वर, हमारे प्राण और हमारा जीवन आपके आश्रय में हों, हमारा मन भी आपके शरणागत हो। हम मृत्यु के बंधनों से मुक्त होकर, दैवीय वाणी को धारण करें।
